What is "Light of Peace Thailand"?
Light of Peace Thailand is a large-scale international meditation and candle-lighting gathering for world peace, held annually at Dhammakaya Temple during the sacred Buddhist celebration of Makha Puja. The event brings together people from around the world to meditate in silence, light candles, and cultivate inner peace as a foundation for global harmony.
Created to inspire unity beyond culture, religion, and nationality, Light of Peace welcomes everyone — including beginners and non-Buddhists — to experience a powerful atmosphere of stillness, mindfulness, compassion, and shared intention for peace. Participants gather under the full moon surrounded by thousands of fellow peace makers and candles glowing together as a symbol of hope and collective goodwill for humanity.
The event is supported internationally by Bali Meditation Center (BMC), which helps guide and support international participants through meditation programs, cultural explanations, and travel coordination. Beyond being a spiritual gathering, Light of Peace Thailand is also a deeply moving cultural experience that encourages people to reconnect with themselves, with others, and with the universal aspiration for peace.
